Micro-Fine Pole Electromagnetic chuck
SMP brand Electromagnetic chucks generate a magnetic field when electrical current is introduced. The field is created with coils supplied by direct current (DC). These chucks are activated with a control unit which allows quick magnetizing and an easy de-magnetizing of the workpiece. Electromagnetic chuck systems can be manual, automatic or combined. The grinding electromagnetic chuck could be controlled by a corresponding controller. The high performance epoxy resin filled in poles gaps could protect the chuck surface from coolant oil or water.
Application:
· Suitable for grinding thin, thick and small workpieces. Since these chucks can be used in fluid, they can be used to hold workpieces during electric discharge machining.
· Rigid steel / brass laminated top plate.
· High resistance to coolant.
· High mechanical rigidity and proven robustness.
· 100% water proof.
· These chucks have a multi energized magnetic circuit, consisting of a number of adjacent, reversed coils making up a magnetizing core which is micro-fine pole pitch.
· Top plate is machinable up to 8 mm.
